When Bollywood couples break-up it gets nasty with blasts from the past and stories that make headlines throughout the world. Here’s a list of Bollywood’s most hi-profile break-ups.

Salman-Aishwarya-Vivek: Probably the biggest break-up story that hit bollywood fans. The then most news making xouple of Bollywood, worked together in several movies and were always considered the golden couple. But following public controversies, the two split and Salman moved to London to spend some ‘alone’ time and went on to find Bollywood’s next big thing and his next girlfriend - Katrina Kaif. Shortly after Aishwarya was in the news again about her dating star-son Vivek Oberoi . Vivek got too excited about being linked to one of the world’s most beautiful women and made controversy when he accused Salman of making death threats towards him. Aishwarya on the other hand, wanted to keep their chemistry all hush-hush and following Vivek’s PR stunt, she broke lose from her link with the new-comer.

John-Bipasha: The once bollywood’s most looked up to-couple, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu were both considered the most hottest couple after they gave us the super-hit ‘Jism’. Both were model-turned-actors and made their way into the hearts of their people through films like Aetbaar, Madhoshi and Goal. But it was shocking when the couple who’d been together for 8 years spilt ways and this saddened many.

Karishma- Abhishek: When these two were together, Karishma was on the top of her game and Abhishek, inspite of his star-studded family, was struggling to make his mark. When the two were engaged, everyone was awaiting this grand union of two of the biggest filmy-families. But allegedly, Babita was opposed to the idea of Karishma getting married to a flop star-son and this led the two to move on. Following which, Karishma’s career saw a gradual downfall and Abhishek became the Mega-star he is today, with one of the world’s most beautiful woman for a wife.

Kareena-Shahid: Sharing an MMS scandal, turning vegetarian and the title of ‘most compatible’ once upon a time, Shahid and Kareena were considered the cutest thing in Bollywood. They starred together in the blockbuster ‘Jab We Met’ which was also the biggest hit of their career. The reason for them splitting is unknown, but the opinions made towards them were ‘He looks too young for her’ and ‘She over-shadows Him’. We don’t know how much of this was fact, but they clearly did share great chemistry on-screen and off it.

Deepika-Ranbir: When Deepika’s ‘RK’ tattoo made news, it was official that Deepika and Ranbir were deeply in love, or puppy love as they call it. But after all the public appearances together and the on-screen chemistry we saw in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, the couple made it public on ‘Koffee with Karan’ that they aren’t together. Despite of all the dirty talk around them, the two are being a sport and working together in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.
