Salman Khan’s
roll at the box-office has impressed filmmakers and they’re all lining
up to sign him for their next projects. This king of the masses has
given them enough reason to believe that their films will do well at the
BO. Dabangg made Rs 145 Cr, Ready made Rs 124 Cr and Bodyguard made Rs 149 Cr. Ek Tha Tiger,
the way the figures are rising, shows all signs of crossing the Rs 200
Cr mark- a historical figure in Indian cinema collections. All of this
splendid collection has only Salman to credit. The actors fans don’t
mine sparing a little extra for a ticket.
So when it came to
signing the actor for a film, it has been rumoured that Tips films head
honcho Ramesh Taurani has offered the actor a whopping amount of Rs 100
Cr as the signing amount. A source says, “Taurani, who has earlier
worked with Salman and has had him signed since the past couple of
years, is very keen that they do a film together. A couple of days back;
he met Salman and offered him Rs 100 Cr for a film. Taurani is aware
that the actor’s last three films have done business near to Rs 150 Cr
net and that’s what he’s ready to take the gamble.”
If this is
true, than filmmakers should be prepared to spend a lot on the actor.
Taurani, however, denied having offered any such money. “Salman is
already signed with me and this is not the right figure. He will be
doing a film in 2013 with us and details are being worked on,” said the
filmmaker.
Phew- we only hope that there’s as much entertainment packed in the film as there is money.
