Salman uses humour to target SRK

The Salman-Shah Rukh rivalry has again surfaced, this time at Mukesh Ambani's bash in Sachin Tendulkar's honour. The rivalry that started majorly after 2008 just seems to have no end to it.

On Wednesday, when Salman was called up on stage to talk about Sachin, he floored everybody with his humour. At one point during his speech, Salman said: "Sachin ka record todna mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai. Aur yeh Don nahin, main bol raha hoon" (a dialogue reminiscent of SRK's Don series). He went on to clarify that his dad Salim Khan had written the dialogues for the original Don starring Amitabh Bachchan, and so he had the right to say the dialogues as his father is still the rightful owner of the written verse. He also praised Amitabh Bachchan for his impressive work in the original movie.

Back in the 1990’s, Salman and SRK called each other brother. But now these brothers have become each other’s arch rivals. While Salman says, “SRK and I can never be friends”, SRK thinks, “Salman and I don't talk, which is absolutely right.”

The enmity began back in 2008, when SRK made inappropriate comments about Salman's ex-flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash. Since then whenever the two have been asked about each other, they would say random things and get away with it.

In 2011, on Koffee With Karan, SRK publicly apologised to the actor saying: "If Salman is angry with me, it is 100% my fault." However, Salman retorted saying SRK's apology was for TRPs.

The two stars have worked together in movies like Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and Om Shanti Om. But looking at the current state of affairs it seems like the audience will not get a chance to see them together again in a new movie.
