Red Carpet at the Star Screen Awards

As the stars of Bollywood strutted on to the red carpet at the Star Screen Awards 2013, we got a peek at the new fashion styles (and in some cases, new arm candy) that some of our favorite people were sporting.
Deepika Padukone looked her gorgeous self in a sheer teal lace dress. Katrina Kaif, fresh after her double success with Ek Tha Tiger and JTHJ, shimmered in a strapless black gown, and not surprisingly Ranbir Kapoor was nowhere nearby, raising more questions in absentia.
It’s been a while since the release of SOTY, but Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt (who pulled off her golden one shoulder, knee length dress beautifully) and Siddharth Malhotra still look pretty cozy as a threesome and pretty much inseparable. Chitrangada Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sunny Leone, all looked their sizzling best in white floor length gowns that did full justice to their curvy frames.
The boys weren’t far behind either. Arjun Kapoor flashed his trademark sexy grin, as he posed in a smart, grey suit; while Ayushmann Khurrana pulled off a bow tie with elan; and the Bachchan men were as dashing as ever.

Turning on the heat, Mughda Godse scored high on the oomph meter with her smoking hot black dress that left just enough to the imagination. Vidya Balan (looking very much the quintessential Indian married woman in the red and gold sari) and the dapper looking hubby Siddharth Roy Kapur appeared separately. While the recently wedded Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza, looked blissfully happy together.
The new director on the block Gauri Shinde looked smart and extremely proud with husband R. Balki. Black was obviously the favorite color of the night – Malaika Arora, Amisha Patel and Parineeti Chopra sashayed in pretty, while Sonakshi Sen (what was she thinking?) Neha Dhupia, and Jacqueline Fernandez managed to get it all wrong - VERY wrong! When it came to Indian outfits, Gul Panag pulled off a gorgeous, heavy golden suit just right!

As usual, the Star Screen Awards was a perfect excuse for a fashion coup d’etat for the high and mighty of tinsel town, and while some of them glowed in the success of their films and new relationships, others just didn’t make it quite there.
