Katrina Kaif's tour to North India for the Ek Tha Tiger Promotion, that stars Salman Khan, has been dotted with ups and downs.
This
being the month of Ramadan, where devout Muslims fast through the day
and eat only through the evening, Katrina has been following a strict,
religious schedule. a few days back, post-fasting, the actress caught up
with a few friends, including Salman's sisters- Alvira and Arpita Khan,
and TV host Mini Mathur, who is the wife of the ETT director Kabir
Khan, over a ravishing feast at Mohammad Ali Road, in Mumbai. The
locality is famous for its kebabs, and it's no doubt that Kat had her
stomach's fill there.
However, in Delhi, where she is now,
post-walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra for the fashion week, she felt
weak. A source informs, "She slept off early that night. The next
morning, on Sunday, her health worsened. She had a bad tummy and
couldn't make it for the promotions slated for the day." The actress has
taken bed-rest and couldn't join the crew of ETT for the promotional
events across the capital city's malls and colleges. She was apologetic,
but her co-actor and director were understanding enough and concerned
enough to let her stay in her room and arrange for medical help. "The
doctor prescribed strong dosage. But her health did not improve even in
the evening. Otherwise she surely would have attended some parts of the
promotions in Delhi," says the source.
On the up-side, before her
health turned nasty, the actress visited the holy shrine of Khwaja Salim
Chishti at Fatehpur-Sikri to pay her obeisance, during the holy month.
She has been a frequent visitor there since her shooting around and at
the shrine for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran Khan.
This
time, she visited the shrine, completed a few rituals, and as part of
her visit, untied the mannat ka Dhaaga- or the 'Thread of Prayer'- that
she had tied during an earlier visit, only to tie a new one in its
place.
We wonder what the mannat really is, with so many brilliant
things happening to her on the career front, but we can safely assume
that this time, it is to pray for the success of Ek Tha Tiger!
