While we recently reported that Bipasha Basu is on a roll with horror films lined up, there's more of her in Raaz 3 than you'd expect to see.
Producer Mahesh Bhatt reveals that the film, which stars Emraan Hashmi as well is based on a combination of real-life stories, one including Bipasha Basu, another probably from the life of Amisha Patel and that of writer Shagufta Rafique. "Bipasha
was in a stage in her real life where she was heartbroken and her
career was declining to ground zero. With the landscape filled with new
heroines, she had a terrible phase," he says. Shagufta's experience with
those who take the help of black magic to improve their careers is also
inspiration for the film. The third source of inspiration is about
director Vikram Bhatt's
ex-girlfriend. While he didn't mention any names, Amisha is the first
to come to mind, when Mahesh says, "Vikram Bhatt's girlfriend used to
manipulate him to enhance her career."
The
mystique of the film is not limited to only the horror, as Bhatt
elaborates, “Though the film has horror all over it but it has a soul of
real message, truth of fame-seeking celebrity.”
Bipasha
is also engrossed in the making of Aatma, wherein she stars opposite
Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film has a 45-day shoot schedule starting soon
in Mumbai. It has also been shot in Panchgani and Vashi.
